Planned Maintenance and On-Site Fault Response

Transformers are among the critical and costly components of MV/LV facilities. Without regular maintenance, failures can lead to production losses, safety risks and long power outages. AESA Enerji carries out planned maintenance, thermographic (thermal imaging) inspection and fault response at MV/LV facilities on site with its expert team.

Fault Response Services

Transformer Maintenance

Transformer oil level, moisture content, insulation, turns ratio and winding resistance tests are performed. Cooling, protection relays, connection points and bushings are checked; connection points are examined with a thermal camera. Where necessary, an oil sample is sent for laboratory analysis. The results are delivered with a transformer maintenance report.

MV Switchgear Maintenance

In MV switchgear, function tests of the disconnector, circuit breaker and earthing mechanisms are performed. Contact surfaces are cleaned; where deemed necessary, mechanical parts are greased and insulating spray is applied to electrical connections and surfaces. Circuit breaker contact resistance measurement, breaker opening–closing time testing and thermal checks are carried out.

Tests and Measurements

Depending on the facility's needs, the following tests and measurements are carried out by our team or arranged through authorised partners; the results are reported and handed over.

Distribution transformer: winding resistance, turns ratio and insulation resistance measurements; transformer oil analysis (performed by a laboratory)
MV circuit breakers and disconnectors: contact resistance measurement, mechanical function (opening-closing) check
Current and voltage transformers (CT/VT): ratio, polarity and insulation checks
Surge arresters: insulation and visual inspection
Protection relays: function test (by secondary injection)
LV panels and circuit breakers: insulation measurement, connection tightness check, thermal camera inspection
Earthing installation: earth resistance and continuity measurements
MV cables: insulation test (with an authorised partner where necessary)

Fault Response

For faults in MV and LV systems, a preliminary assessment is first made over the call line; where necessary, the field team is dispatched to identify and eliminate the source of the fault. Contracted facilities receive priority response. All work carried out is recorded and kept together with the maintenance history.
