Certificate and Acceptance Procedures on Your Behalf

For electrical installations, we submit the applications and follow up the record, certificate and acceptance procedures carried out with the distribution company and relevant authorities on your behalf. The procedures we handle are listed below.

Scope of Services

  • Energy permit letter (connection opinion)
  • Transformer site determination record
  • Site handover procedures
  • Building acceptance procedures
  • Facility agreement procedures
  • Transformer required/not required certificate
  • Provisional and final acceptance of transformer installations
  • Generator licence (generator provisional acceptance)

Energy Permit Letter (Connection Opinion)

The energy permit letter (connection opinion) is the distribution company's written opinion stating from which point and at which voltage level the power requested for a building, a facility or a temporary need such as a construction site will be supplied, and which installations must be built for this. The application requires documents such as the title deed record, the approved electrical project and the building permit or occupancy permit.

We submit the application for the energy permit letter (connection opinion) and follow up the process on your behalf until the letter is obtained.

Transformer Site Determination Record

The transformer site determination record is the record in which a civil or survey engineer or technician determines the location of a building-type transformer substation; it is required in the provisional acceptance file of the transformer installation.

We run the process of having the transformer site determination record prepared and approved on your behalf.

Site Handover Procedures

Site handover procedures concern the transfer of the site on which a transformer substation stands; for some substation types, the site handover document may be required in the acceptance file.

We handle the site handover procedures on your behalf and follow them up until they are concluded.

Building Acceptance Procedures

Building acceptance is the record confirming that the building of a building-type transformer substation has been constructed in accordance with its project; this document is required in the provisional acceptance file of the transformer installation.

We handle the building acceptance procedures on your behalf and follow them up until they are concluded.

Facility Agreement Procedures

The facility agreement is signed with the distribution company, to set out the terms for building the facility, when the applicant chooses to build the connection line, or the distribution network required for the connection, themselves. In this case, preparing the project of the facility is the applicant's responsibility.

We handle the facility agreement procedures on your behalf and follow them up until they are concluded.

Transformer Required/Not Required Certificate

The transformer required/not required certificate is obtained from the relevant distribution company and shows whether a transformer is needed on the plot; it may be requested with the building permit application. If a transformer is needed, it may have to be shown on the architectural project and approved by the distribution company.

We submit the application for the transformer required/not required certificate and follow up the process on your behalf until the certificate is obtained.

Provisional and Final Acceptance of Transformer Installations

Provisional acceptance of a transformer installation is the on-site inspection of the completed installation by an acceptance committee, recording in minutes that it conforms to its approved project and the energy permit letter; this acceptance is required before the supply can be set up. The acceptance file includes the approved project, the record of readiness for provisional acceptance, the earthing measurement report and the documents of the equipment used. Final acceptance is the last acceptance stage, carried out after provisional acceptance.

We handle the provisional and final acceptance procedures for transformer installations on your behalf and follow them up until acceptance is concluded.

Generator Licence (Generator Provisional Acceptance)

What is commonly known as a 'generator licence' means having the project of a standby generator (emergency power), which runs only during power outages, approved and having the installed system accepted. Project approval and provisional acceptance are carried out by the relevant authority or the distribution company.

We handle the provisional acceptance procedures for generator installations, commonly known as a 'generator licence', on your behalf and follow them up until acceptance is concluded.
